East Bergholt is about nine miles south-west of Ipswich and four miles north west of Manningtree. John Constable grew up in a house close to St Mary’s Church, in the centre of the village.

For events at East Bergholt High School you are welcome to use the school car park.
There is a public car park off a side street to the right of the Red Lion pub (a 5-10 minute walk from the church). There may also be some on-street parking by the church.
