Applications are invited from brass players – young and not so young – to take part in a workshop with Sam Goble and Philip Dale – members of the cornett & sackbut group QuintEssential – exploring brass music written around 1600.

Aspects covered will include phrasing, articulation, dynamics and ornamentation.  Participants will also have the opportunity to listen to, and to try out, some 17th century brass instruments.
