Stoke by Nayland

Stoke by Nayland is about nine miles north of Colchester. St Mary’s Church is in the centre of the village. It has an intricately carved oak door, a tower of ‘lofty and slender proportions’ and was the subject of John Constable’s last landscape painting. A parking area is available.
